If you know how to prepare fresh mussels these would make a great Gumbo.
Fresh Bruny mussels taste great however you have to eat them fresh & avoid green ones & ones with pre-opened shells. You will need to boil them in a pot of boiling water to get them to open.
All the photographs on this post & more are available to send as free virtual postcards & they are really easy to send as long as you have your friends & family's email addresses & follow this link http://www.brunyisland.net.au/send_a_postcard.php
